My life long best friend Tyran told me of a play he had created and written, I was intrigued and couldn’t wait to see the production. Randomly I was then asked by Tyran to play a small part as a character which I happily accepted. The entire production team were extremely welcoming and supportive, I got a clear insight of how much time, effort and commitment is required to be part of a performing production team. It was clear from very early on in the play that the storyline and characters were all very well written. Tyran gave the play an edgy aura with deep emotion filled real life scenarios, the musical production team were awesome and it was a pleasure being able to see them perform close up. The directors use of interjecting poems complements each character’s storyline and neatly got a hard hitting message across to the audience. I am sure that ROCKC has enabled and encouraged many that have seen it to be more aware of the unfortunate situations young people can face. The ROCKC Project is a must see…

I recently had the privilege of attending a production by ROCKC (Rhymes Over Crimes Knives County Lines), and it was truly phenomenal. The rhymes, written by the incredibly talented Tyran Gardiner, offered a powerful and emotional insight into the challenges young people face today. The performance was both educational and inspiring, raising valuable awareness for parents, teachers, and anyone working with youth. The cast were outstanding, and the use of live musical instruments added a beautiful depth and energy to the delivery. The production was raw, thought-provoking, and deeply moving, shining a light on the harsh realities of gang culture and the difficult choices many young people encounter. An absolute must see production with an important message that stays with you long after it ends.

I had the privilege of attending the showcase of ROCKC – Rhymes Over Crimes: County Lines, and I left truly inspired. From the opening moment, the energy and emotion on stage were electric. The performers poured their hearts into every line, powerfully interpreting the words of poet Tyran Gardiner and transforming them into something unforgettable. What struck me most was the honesty and courage behind the performance. The realities it explored — tough, uncomfortable, but necessary — were portrayed with such authenticity and creativity that they stayed with me long after the show ended. The message couldn’t have been clearer, and the delivery couldn’t have been stronger. It was both educational and emotionally charged, proving how art can be a force for awareness and change. A massive thank you to the team for the invitation and for creating such an important, thought-provoking experience. And that refrain — “Guns and knives take away people’s lives” — still echoes in my mind. Truly Amazing

Tyran and his talented cast delivered an unforgettable performance that struck deep at the heart of one of society’s most pressing issues — knife crime. Blending acting, rap, and raw poetry, the production offered a moving portrayal of the real human stories behind the headlines. What made the play so impactful was its honesty. Drawing from personal experiences, the performers brought authenticity and vulnerability to the stage, ensuring that every word resonated with truth and emotion. The rhythmic flow of the rapped poetry gave the piece an energetic yet haunting edge, making the message both accessible and memorable. This is more than just a performance — it’s a vital conversation starter. The play manages to educate without preaching, provoke thought without judgment, and inspire hope where despair often lingers. A must-see for both adolescents and adults, it’s a poetic wake-up call that lingers long after the final line is spoken.
